A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice,
we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow,
that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace,
for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear,
that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

It is Christmas Eve 🎅 and despite the Mulled Wine, Christmas films and me wearing my Christmas jumper and hat I am very much missing both my parents now no longer here. I hope You are looking after them and my family all up there with you. I hope I may see them again some day and that we can crack open the champagne 🍾 at the Harp and Angel pub!!! I will always love you both so very much and if I could borrow the Tardis for the day I would go back in time and tell you that. I hope you can hear my thoughts and prauer for you in the Great Beyond.
My prayers also for my friends whom I love so very much. My prayers for Syria 🇸🇾 and President Bashar Al Assad and family. May they overcome the EVIL that has caused so much pain and suffering imposed by the West with their illegal war and sanctions. They celebrate Christmas in Syria too.
And finally but by no means least I pray for the Human Race to grow up and live together in peace. May there one day be peace on our beautiful world and that we can ALL live in peace.
Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year
All my love

I pray that the wildfires in Syria will be vanquished soon and that the terrorists will be defeated. My thoughts and prayers are for the people in Syria who have suffered as a result of the war imposed by the West and the illegal sanctions denying them access to food, medicines and fuel.
Please pray for Shonagh, a young lady in Scotland who is facing a double mastectomy operation in January and is struggling both mentally and physically with her ordeal. Her sister had the same operation last year and they lost their mother to this disease a few years ago.
Please pray for my husband steve. He has been very poorly. He is very down today. Thank you amen.
It will be 18 years ago on 20th August since my Mother Theresa Ann Smith died. Once again i am unable to go and light a candle due to being in self isolation prior to surgery and subsequent suregery post op recovery.
As always you are always in my heart and prayers and i hope the electric candle i will leave on will be something at least. I miss you so very much and the pain of being completely alone now with no family left will always be with me, but it is my hope tht you and Daddy are both reunited with family in the Great Beyond. And although it is not yet my time i hope one day i will be reunited with you and of course Slyvester, Pussy and Zilly, in addition to any other cats i may get in the future!
Love you now and always. And i am sorry i am not going to be able to fulfil your last wish until probably next Spring/Summer by which time i hope this blasted virus will be over. I hope you can forgive me for that.

On 14th July 2019 my Father Graham Smith died at home. Although it is likely he was dead a few days prior to being found by me. I hope and pray that he is now reunited with my Mother Theresa Ann Smth and that they are both now enjoying their Eternal Voyage.
May God protect them both and let my Father know he is so very much missed. They both are. I loved my Father so very much. I knew when i found my Father that fateful day and dialed 999 that he was gone. I never got the chance to say goodbye. I can only hope that when he died he was not alone and was met by my Mother. His passing broke my heart.
I hope one day i shall reunite with them both.
I miss and love you Daddy. I hope that you would have been pleased and proud of the send off i gave you. And with all the decisions i have made since then. Please know that i loved you so very much. I know we argued alot but i would give anything to have you back. And i hope you have now met the elusive Theodore!! I have a feeling you would get on well with him!!
Love you always. I am sorry i cant perform my final duty this year because of the virus. I hope by next year i can.

Almighty and merciful Father, – We lay our lives before you as the coronavirus pandemic continues to ravage our world – your world.
We pray for those affected by the virus – the isolated, the impoverished, the sick and the dying. Grant healing to the sick, eternal life to the dead and consolation to the bereaved. Grant, too, comfort to the lonely and support to the hungry and to those with reduced incomes.
We acknowledge with gratitude all those who are providing us with essential supplies and services. We give thanks especially for the courage and dedication of health workers who daily confront the peril of the coronavirus disease. And we remember friends, neighbours and volunteers who are carrying out numerous unheralded acts of kindness.
Support and guide all governments, health authorities and scientists that they manage a recovery from the pandemic wisely, not only for the health of populations and economies but, once the virus is contained, for the health of the world, taking the opportunities the pandemic is accentuating to reverse the causes of climate change.
We ask all of these things in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

I travel this world by sunlight, seeing the way I should go;
I travel this world by moonlight, trusting its silvery glow;
I travel this world by starlight, looking to heaven above;
I walk through this old world's darkness, safe in the light of God's love.
